Overview Sherwood Assisted Living is seeking an energetic and creative Activities Director to lead our life enrichment programs across both our Assisted Living and Memory Care communities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on taking initiative, building connections, and bringing fresh ideas to life. As our Activities Director, you will design and oversee two vibrant calendars, one for Assisted Living and one for Memory Care, ensuring that each reflects the unique needs and interests of our residents. From crafting meaningful daily activities to assisting in coordinating large community events, you’ll provide opportunities for residents to enjoy life to the fullest. Key Responsibilities Plan, schedule, and oversee monthly activity calendars for both Assisted Living and Memory Care. Manage and publish the Sherwood newsletter, keeping residents and families informed of upcoming programs and highlights. Keep activity supplies organized, inventoried, and replenished. Build and maintain relationships with local groups, musicians, lecturers, and community organizations to bring engaging programming into our home. Lead, inspire, and support residents in participation—making every event feel welcoming and inclusive. Collaborate with staff to ensure activities are integrated into the overall culture of care at Sherwood. What We’re Looking For A self-starter who doesn’t wait for ideas but brings them forward. Someone with creativity, flexibility, and an eye for making everyday moments special. A people person. Friendly, approachable, and genuinely passionate about connecting with others. Strong organizational skills to keep calendars, supplies, and schedules running smoothly. Experience in senior living, memory care, recreation, or event planning is a plus, but the right personality and drive matter most.
