Job Description

Overview Responsibility for handling and supporting a broad array of litigation, employment, and contractual matters for the Allegis family of Companies ("Company") primarily Aerotek, Inc. ("Aerotek") in North America including providing demonstrably effective partnership, trusted legal advice, counsel and services to the Company’s shareholders, executives and affiliates and supporting initiatives from the Finance, Strategic Sales, Human Resources, Employment Compliance, Marketing, Operations, and other Corporate teams and members of the Legal Department. Additionally providing support where requested on commercial and procurement contract drafting and negotiation. Base pay range $169,200.00/yr - $253,800.00/yr In-Office Requirement Required in office 4 days a week. Responsibilities Level Description: Entry Level and Developing Level responsibilities include developing as a recognized strategic Legal and business expert and partner within the Legal Department, handling a broad array of matters, and contributing to the development of legal strategies that align with business needs. Responsibilities include advising senior leaders, working with stakeholders on employment advice, litigation and vendor contract matters, and providing training to internal customers as required. Developing Level includes acting as an escalation point for other attorneys and contributing to solutioning and strategy for employment, litigation and contracts matters. Supervisory/Management responsibilities are minimal or none for Entry Level and Developing Level. Budget responsibility is none, with potential to approve external counsel fees as directed. Qualifications, skills and behavior expectations are described in detail below. Qualifications Minimum Education and/or Experience:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school
  • Member in good standing of State Bar
Skills/Abilities: In-depth knowledge of US Employment and other workplace-related laws and related disciplines, including contractual, employment, and litigation matters. Effective technical, analytical, research and writing skills to accomplish complex legal functions and tasks. Good financial acumen. Strong communication skills, clear and concise writing abilities; ability to communicate simply and succinctly and provide creative and pragmatic solutions to complex issues. Ability to advise and partner across several business and operational functions. Ability to work effectively in a multifaceted organization; develop leadership skills; establish trusted relationships with colleagues, executives, and external partners. Ability to manage complex corporate and vendor contractual matters, including drafting and negotiating. Ability to provide strategic counsel and maintain high ethical standards and integrity. Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team; capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-moving environment. Developing Level – Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Expected Behaviors: In addition to Entry Level requirements, strong technical, analytical and research skills; knowledge of employment and workplace laws; ability to manage increasingly complex contractual matters; experience developing junior attorneys; leadership and influencing skills with senior leaders and executives.
