About the Role
The Company is in search of a Senior Actuary to join its actuarial team, with a focus on asset-intensive products. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading quarterly valuation and annual assumption reviews, supporting financial reporting, planning, and regulatory filings, and conducting experience studies for life and annuity products. Additionally, the role involves reviewing cash-flow projections, assisting in actuarial controls, governance, and risk documentation, and managing monthly reinsurance settlements. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in a quantitative field, be an FSA (or equivalent) with approximately 7 years' post-fellowship experience, and possess a strong background in annuity reinsurance and asset modeling. Applicants for this role at the company should be adept at engaging with external auditors and actuaries, and be prepared to contribute to a range of additional projects as required. Proficiency with MG-ALFA is essential, and programming/automation skills are a plus. A deep understanding of US GAAP/Stat, tax, and solvency frameworks is necessary, as is the ability to demonstrate strong communication, multitasking, and leadership skills in a dynamic environment. The role also requires the candidate to be capable of supporting broader initiatives such as capital planning and actuarial governance.
