Overview

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer to drive growth and strengthen client relationships in the logistics and supply chain sector. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, expanding market presence, and delivering tailored solutions that meet customer needs while supporting profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities with both new and existing customers.
  • Design and implement sales strategies in collaboration with the sales team and cross-functional departments.
  • Negotiate service agreements, rates, and terms to achieve revenue and margin objectives.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of clients, ensuring customer satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct market research and analyze customer data to uncover trends, opportunities, and competitive insights.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Sales Support, Operations, and Customer Service to ensure seamless execution of client solutions.
  • Utilize the company CRM to prepare and deliver regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance results.

Requirements

Experience & Knowledge

  • 3-5 years of business development or sales experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain.
  • Proven success in customer acquisition, relationship management, and contract negotiation.
  • Solid understanding of international trade, logistics operations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience managing sales data and performance metrics.
