Cafe Knotted is looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Cashier/Barista to join our growing team. We are focused on providing a welcoming environment while continuing to cultivate a warm and knowledgeable team. This is a hybrid Cashier/Barista position; employee will be expected to perform responsibilities of both cashier and barista. This job is very hands-on and requires initiative, multitasking and organization skills as well as a good eye for quality. Applicants with 1 or more years in the hospitality industry preferred, experience in café is a plus, no experience considered.

About Cafe Knotted:

Cafe Knotted was founded in 2017 in Seoul as a small artisanal dessert cafe with focus on creating hand-crafted, cream-filled donuts and pastries. The brand quickly gained popularity and became a cultural icon, expanding rapidly. Throughout the growth of Café Knotted, the brand continued to elevate and develop its menu, offering seasonal pastries to artisanal coffee and craft beverages. Its first US location opened in April of 2025 in Westfield Century City, second location to open fall of 2025 in Art’s District, Downtown Los Angeles.

Job Duties and Expectations:

• Available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Responsibly open and/or close storefront in line with operation hours
• Arrive on time every day of work, clock in fully ready in appropriate attire in accordance with company uniform guidelines
• Responsibly manage one’s own time clock; break and clock in/out on time, communicate promptly with leadership when time clock error is made
• Foster a positive work culture by extending professionalism and respect to guests, fellow team members, neighbors and everyone in between
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu and accurately inform guests
• Package and serve pastry orders properly in accordance with Cafe Knotted standards
• Make and present beverage orders properly in accordance with Cafe Knotted standards
• Report any quality control or inventory issues promptly to leadership
• Multitask and work multiple stations while coordinating with team members
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic workspace in accordance with company policy and LA Department of Public Health guidelines.
• Properly wash dishes and containers keeping stations organized
• Occasionally walk few minutes to throw trash away and/or grab inventory from storage or delivery from loading dock

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, walk, use and reach with hands, see, talk, hear, and occasionally balance and lift weights up to 35 pounds.
