Job Title: Catering Sales and Events Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering Sales and Events Manager to join our team. As the Catering Sales and Events Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and ensuring the successful execution of a diverse range of events. You will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships, developing creative event solutions, and leading a team to deliver exceptional service.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve catering and events revenue targets.
- Manage relationships with new and existing clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and objectives for each event, offering tailored solutions.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the execution of events, ensuring a seamless experience from conception to completion.
- Lead and mentor the events team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality performance.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Prepare cost proposals, contracts, and agreements while adhering to budget constraints.
- Conduct site inspections and pre-event meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for business growth.
- Handle client feedback and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in catering sales or event management, with a successful track record.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A creative and problem-solving mindset with the ability to devise innovative solutions.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by events.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands: Lifting up to 20 lbs. Maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10lbs. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
Environmental Conditions: Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. A job is considered “inside” if the worker spends approximately 75% or more of the time inside.
Math Skills: Requires mathematical development sufficient to be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure.
Language Skills: Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to: Read newspapers, periodicals, journals, and manuals. Write business letters, summaries and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style. Participate in discussions and debates. Speak extemporaneously on a variety of subjects.
