The posted compensation range of $24.24 - $35.17 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the Spiritual Care team to provide pastoral care services to patients and their family members.
  • Responds to urgent situations, (codes or death) at the request or referral of administrative coordinators, nurses, family, etc.
  • Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in spiritual care, arts or equivalent, required
  • Master's degree in spiritual care or related field, preferred
  • One (1) unit of CPE or enroll in our internal Clinical Pastoral Orientation and complete 1 unit of CPE within one year
  • Four (4) units of CPE preferred
  • Current Board Certified Chaplain documentation, required
  • One year in pastoral ministry preferred

Schedule: This is a PRN/Per-Diem position, working 5 shifts within a 6-week time period. You may also be asked to cover one summer holiday and one winter holiday. More schedule details will be discussed during the interview process.
