Job Description
Our client, a leading construction services company with a strong reputation in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work, is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Foreman for a contract position. This role involves overseeing journeyman-level construction, installation, alteration, and repair of sheet metal products and equipment across commercial job sites. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical guidance and ensure project quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support sheet metal installation and fabrication teams.
Oversee assembly of hoods and sheet metal air- conditioning/heating units.
Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
Ensure adherence to company safety standards and work procedures.
Provide troubleshooting expertise and implement effective solutions.
Train and mentor junior technicians.
Maintain professionalism and effective communication with clients and team members.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years of experience in sheet metal installation and fabrication.
Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Experience supervising or leading teams preferred.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in commercial and construction environments.
Demonstrated safe and proper use of tools and equipment.
