What You'll Be Doing

As a Data Analyst Intern, you will work closely with Stifel's data analysis team to support data-driven projects and initiatives. You'll collaborate with business users, product managers, and development teams to analyze, document, and refine data processes, all while gaining hands-on experience in data extraction, reporting, and analysis.

What We're Looking For

• Conduct data extraction and analysis using SQL, create reports to support business needs, and respond to ad-hoc data requests.
• Document data requirements, perform quality checks, and ensure data accuracy to support effective decision-making.
• Research best practices, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and collaborate with team members to implement solutions.
• Partner with business users and product management to clarify and refine data requirements, supporting the development of data-driven solutions.

What You'll Bring

• Learn about various processes and functions within the financial industry and develop professionally by contributing to projects that support the business.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on logical reasoning, data relationships, and documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
• Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

Education & Experience

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field. Completion of at least one year of college preferred.

Systems & Technology

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and SQL is required. Familiarity with Python, AWS, or similar tools is a plus.
