POSITION OPENING

E-Sports Coach Job Posting Summary: Hemlock Public School District is launching a brand new, state of the art E-Sports Program with onsite facilities. The E-Sports coach will be responsible for developing a successful program. The coach will supervise and instruct the E-Sports Team as well as maintain a regular practice schedule and provide leadership for participating students. The E-Sports team is expected to perform at a competitive level. Required Qualifications: Successful leadership or coaching experience, preferably at the high school level. Alternate qualifications may be considered. Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting. Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills: Post-Secondary degree in a relevant field. Background that includes experience in competitive video gaming. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of best practices in coaching. Experience working as part of a collaborative team. A successful candidate will be able to: Relate to and instruct student athletes in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings. Develop and use strategies to improve individual and team play. Ability to work cooperatively with administration and staff. Ability to recruit and retain students in the program. Continuously ensure personal behavior and program reputation are in alignment with Hemlock Public School District values and brand. Possess strong organizational, motivational, discipline and fundamental teaching skills. Work with other coaches by supporting and encouraging students to participate in other sports. Able to communicate with players, parents, and other coaches. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure student success and a positive school climate. Pursue scholarship opportunities within the esports business world.
