Overview

Belfair POA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Event Manager to join our talented and established team.

Position Summary

The Event Manager plays a key role in planning and executing all Club events, ensuring each experience exceeds member and guest expectations. Working closely with the Manager of Event Sales & Operations and the Food & Beverage Team, this individual helps bring the Clubs vision to life through seamless coordination, creativity, and outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate events with close attention to the overall calendar and available resources.
  • Develop comprehensive event plans outlining timelines, budgets, and required resources.
  • Collaborate with members and guests to understand event objectives and requirements.
  • Research and select appropriate venue spaces, ensuring they meet event needs.
  • Facilitate weekly BEO meetings with staff to ensure information is communicated to all departments in a timely manner. Work closely with the Banquet Department to develop suitable menus and beverage offerings. Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors for all event services. Build and maintain strong relationships with members and guests to provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction throughout the event planning process.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and gather feedback to improve future events.
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Director to promote events in a timely manner to maximize attendance and engagement.
  • Prepare and manage event budgets, including all expenses and labor; event cost tracking and P&L reporting required.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide regular budget updates to leadership.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment and promote teamwork across departments.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience (3+ years) as an Event Manager or similar role.
    • Demonstrated success in planning and executing large-scale, high-end events.
Skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
