Pursue Your Dietitian Career Aspirations

• Provide nutritional counseling and education to patients according to physician directives.
• Collaborate with medical professionals involved in patient care.
• Assess referral orders to ensure optimum nutrition intake methods are in place.
• Document relevant patient information in their medical records in accordance with established guidelines.
• Implement nutritional care plans, accommodate special dietary needs, and adapt menus as required.
• Conduct calorie assessments and make informed dietary recommendations.
• Review and finalize menus for nutritional adequacy.

Qualifications You Need

• Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
• Appropriate state licensure is a must.
• Preferred membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Food & Nutrition from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one year of clinical dietetics experience is preferred.
