Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, current bargaining unit employees have priority consideration for this position if they apply within seven (7) days of the posting date. After this period, all applicants will be considered equally.

Primary: 0845-1745

Secondary: 0800-1630

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Family Medicine Center Licensed Practical Nurse has responsibilities that include intake, processing of patients, phlebotomy and EKGs, simple patient/family treatment as directed by the professional staff. AHA-BLS certification is required - however, certification is not a qualifying factor to obtain the position.

 
QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education/Skills Required:
1. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
2. Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.
3. AHA-BLS is required within 6 months of hire or a current non-AHA-BLS card will be honored up to date of renewal.
4. Two (2) years previous medical office experience or primary care experience preferred in addition to One (1)  to three (3) years of experience in the CVPH Family Medicine Center.
5. 1-2 years of medical/surgical experience preferred.
6. Ability to function as an integral part of a team.
7. Excellent telephone skills
8. Must be detail oriented and organized.
9. Meets requirements of physical/pre-placement screening.
10. Demonstrates and upholds CVPH culture.
11. Is current with all CVPH orginizational requirements (all e-learning, annual health assessments, annual requirements, etc).

As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
