Job Details

ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER (NP/PA) - PAIN MANAGEMENT

Schedule:

• Monday-Thursday 730am-5pm, Friday 730am-12pm (NO CALL, NO WEEKENDS)

Qualifications:

• Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina
• National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
• DEA license (or eligible)
• Experience in pain management strongly preferred; will consider experience in spine, orthopedics, neurology or any relevant experience
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills are a must
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and follow-up assessments for patients with chronic and acute pain
• Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop and implement treatment plans
• Prescribe and manage pain medications in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Educate patients on treatment options, medication use, and self-management strategies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using EMR systems
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing quality improvement initiatives
