Responsible for assessing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating trauma care quality and performance across the continuum from pre-hospital through reintegration, focused on either pediatric or adult trauma patients. Develops and implements performance and quality initiatives based on regional, national, and institutional trauma standards, and supports trauma education/certification and registry activities. Requires a BSN, Alaska RN license, advanced trauma-related certifications, and clinical nursing experience in emergency, critical care, or pediatric settings.

Under the direction of the Trauma Program Manager, this position assesses, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the standards and delivery of care provided to the trauma patient. Evaluation of care begins in the pre-hospital phase, through hospitalization , disposition and reintegration into their community. In this role, performance and quality initiatives are derived from regional and national trauma standards, as well as the institutional patient care delivery. This role focuses on either the pediatric or adult trauma patient. Pediatrics is defined as patients less that 17 years old and adults are 18 years of age and older.
