Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatrics position in Iowa, requiring at least 2 years of pediatric experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is in a pediatric unit within a hospital setting
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3
• Must float to med/surg units as required
• Peds-Vapotherm experience is required
• Epic EMR system is used and experience is expected
• Schedule includes required work during 2 of the 3 major winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• Travelers may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Must work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
• Only one day off may be requested between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26
• Local travelers are not accepted for this position
• Previous employment within the past 12 months at the client may affect eligibility

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active Iowa or compact RN license is required
• Minimum of 2 years pediatric RN experience is required
• At least 1 prior travel contract must be completed
• Current ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and PALS (AHA) certifications required
• Supervisory reference from within the last 2 years is required
• Travelers must have a taxable address more than 60 miles from the market
• Experience with Epic EMR and Peds-Vapotherm is required
