Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in State College, Pennsylvania.
Job Description & Requirements Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Collect, prioritize, analyze, and document patient health data using systematic assessment techniques
Develop individualized, measurable, and realistic patient outcomes and plans of care
Implement safe, evidence-based nursing interventions and document patient responses
Evaluate patient progress and revise plans of care as needed to ensure continuity of care, including post-discharge planning
Participate in quality improvement activities and interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
Maintain ethical nursing practice, patient confidentiality, advocacy, and non-discriminatory care
Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate care and referrals
Maintain clinical competency through ongoing education and professional development
Demonstrate leadership through prioritization, delegation, flexibility, and support of unit operations
Participate in peer review, performance improvement, and professional development of colleagues
Utilize research findings to guide nursing practice and participate in research activities as appropriate
Support patient safety, cost-effective care, and appropriate delegation
Participate in out-of-facility patient transport as required
Meet specialty nursing standards applicable to the primary area of practice (e.g., AACN, ENA, AORN, Med-Surg/NAON, etc.)
Requirements
Experience
Relevant clinical nursing experience appropriate to the unit and specialty
EPIC patient charting experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications
Active RN license
Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (HCP BLS) required (must be completed within four months of probation completion)
Education
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
