Azure Data Governance Analyst

Alexandria, VA - onsite - 2-3 days a week and Tuesday is a mandatory day

6 Months

Pay rate: $55 - $60/hr on W2

Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Data Governance Analyst with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure to lead governance initiatives across our cloud data ecosystem. This role is critical to ensuring data integrity, compliance, and usability within Azure-based environments, supporting enterprise-wide analytics, reporting, and decision-making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Azure-Centric Governance Implementation
  • Design and enforce data governance policies across Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, and other Azure services
  • Implement metadata management, data lineage, and classification using Azure Purview
  • Collaborate with cloud architects to embed governance into scalable data pipelines and storage solutions
