RIGHT TO WOMEN’S POLITICAL REPRESENTATION IN SRI LANKA
The 2 day workshop was held as two separate workshops; Step 01 and Step 02. The title of the activity was “Right to Women’s Political Representation in Sri Lanka; Step 01 and Step 02” and it was held as two day residential programme at Sri Lanka Foundation Institute (SLFI), on 2nd and 3rd March 2015, Colombo, with participation of 40 women. The resource persons were Dr Nimalka Fernando, MrsShamilaDaluwatta (Attorney-at-law), Mrs Lalitha Dissanayake (Foremer Secretary of the Ministry of Women Affairs, Sri Lanka), and Mrs Nalini Ratnarajah (Women’s Rights Activist). We organized these two workshops as step 01 and step 02 in order to fully plan and assess the work ahead for participants in their respective districts
